Two Big Projects Circling the Power Star
According to a report by Telugu Chitraalu, Pawan Kalyan is expected to collaborate next with director Surender Reddy. The Race Gurram filmmaker and writer Vakkantham Vamsi are reportedly working on the final draft of the script, with the screenplay being carefully shaped to satisfy the actor.
That’s a pairing that will immediately get pulses racing. Surender Reddy is known for delivering high-octane, mass-friendly entertainers, and with Vakkantham Vamsi — one of Telugu cinema’s sharpest commercial writers — shaping the story, the combination has blockbuster potential written all over it.
But that’s not all. Director Sujeeth has also reportedly begun working on OG 2, tentatively titled They Call Him OG 2. Given that the original OG built a strong fan following after its Netflix release, a sequel feels like a natural and commercially smart move.

A Quick Look at They Call Him OG (2025)
They Call Him OG follows the story of Ojas Gambheera, a former gangster and martial artist, and explores his rivalry with Omi Bhau. The film is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
The original carved out a niche for Pawan Kalyan in a different kind of action space — less mass-masala, more layered character work. A sequel picking up that thread with Sujeeth at the helm would be a compelling watch for both fans and new audiences.
What’s the Official Word?
Here’s where you need to pump the brakes slightly. These developments are based solely on reports at the moment, and no official confirmation has been made by the makers yet. Pawan Kalyan’s team had shared an update on social media clarifying that any announcement regarding his next film would be made through his official handle.
So while the buzz is real and the combinations are exciting, fans should hold tight for the official word — which, knowing Pawan Kalyan’s team, will come with suitable fanfare when the time is right.
Pawan Kalyan’s Recent Outing
Pawan Kalyan was last seen in the lead role in Ustaad Bhagat Singh, directed by Harish Shankar. The film follows the story of a man inspired by his teacher, who names him Bhagat Singh and shapes his values — a tribal boy who grows up with strong morals and unwavering courage, standing firmly against injustice despite overwhelming odds.
Apart from Pawan Kalyan, the film also stars Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna, R. Parthiban, Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, Rajeev Kanakala, and Gautami in key roles.
According to Wikipedia’s overview of Telugu cinema, the industry has consistently ranked among India’s highest-grossing regional film industries — and Pawan Kalyan remains one of its biggest box office draws. Every PSPK announcement is genuinely a cultural event in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
