A true PlayStation fan without a PS5 in hand is still breaching their head to get one unit at the actual selling price. The supply problem is still there from the launch date, and some people are selling a few at significantly higher prices.
A healthy number of PlayStation 5 units came in stock recently. However, it seems we will hardly get that much in the coming months, at least in this year.
A few days back, the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, clearly informed that the supply shortage issue is not going to resolve this year. And now, Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, also spoke the same. Probably you know AMD manufactures processors and graphics chips for consoles, including PS5.
Su stated, “I expect it to be from June-September of next year 2022 when, perhaps, it will be possible to go down to a video game store or a department store to buy a PlayStation 5 or an Xbox Series X without it being an impossible task”.
So, it’s clear that the fans have to wait more for the cake. For those who have a strong will to have a PS5 but going through financial problems, it’s probably good news for them as they are getting time to arrange the amount.
