It All Started With One Cocky, Confident Text

Nick slid into Priyanka’s DMs in 2016, saying he was hearing from mutual friends that they should meet — a message that made PC simultaneously raise an eyebrow and smile.

And PC didn’t hide her reaction. On the Call Her Daddy podcast, she described Nick’s message as cocky yet incredibly attractive — the fact that he had the confidence to reach out like that was something no one had ever done with her before.

After trading messages and numbers, they met officially at the Vanity Fair Oscars After-Party in 2017 — and reportedly, Nick was already smitten enough to go down on one knee even at that early stage. Their 2017 Met Gala appearance together set the internet ablaze.

From Dating Quietly to a Palace Wedding

After months of quietly dating, Nick proposed in July 2018 in Crete, Greece — just a day after Priyanka’s birthday — and the couple made things official the following month with a traditional Roka ceremony in Mumbai.

Then came the grand finale. They booked the iconic Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, exchanged vows in a Christian ceremony on December 1, 2018 — and the very next day, Nick donned a full desi groom outfit for a traditional Hindu wedding, making Priyanka Chopra officially become Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

It was the kind of fairytale that Bollywood scriptwriters dream of writing.

Years later, their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas arrived in January 2022, completing a family that has won hearts across both India and the world.

Priyanka Chopra — former Miss World, Bollywood icon, and global Hollywood star — found her forever person in the most 21st-century way possible, proving that sometimes the algorithm really does know best. 💌
