Global superstar Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas recently celebrated America’s Independence Day with a romantic kiss under dazzling fireworks in Los Angeles. However, what should have been a sweet moment turned controversial when fans called out the actress for alleged double standards regarding environmental pollution.

The Controversial Moment

During a Fourth of July celebration in Los Angeles, Chopra and Jonas were spotted sharing an intimate moment as fireworks lit up the sky. The actress, dressed in a brown jacket, stood beside her husband who wore a festive red and denim ensemble. When Jonas leaned in for a quick kiss, Chopra captured the moment on her Instagram Story with the caption “Happy 4th of July to all celebrating.”

The Double Standard Debate

The romantic display quickly sparked outrage among Indian fans who remembered Chopra’s 2018 environmental campaign. The former Miss World had urged Indians to skip Diwali firecrackers, saying “Please meri saans ko berok rakhiye. Diwali pe patakho ko skip kijiye” (Please let me breathe freely. Skip firecrackers this Diwali).
