Premada Oorali Hits Rs 54 Crore as Its Third Weekend Jumps 90%, and Rs 100 Crore Looks Possible

Third weekends are usually when films slow down. Premada Oorali did the opposite. The Kannada romantic comedy drama earned Rs 21 crore over its third weekend, 90 percent higher than the weekend before, and its total now stands at Rs 54 crore gross.

Premada Oorali: Box Office

A Weekend That Kept Getting Bigger

According to Pinkvilla’s report, Sunday brought in Rs 8.75 crore, a 20 percent rise over Saturday. In fact, each day of the weekend produced the film’s biggest single-day collection yet. That’s a rare pattern, and it shows audiences are still discovering the film.

From Quiet Start to Surprise Hit

The numbers tell a story of word of mouth. Week 1 managed only Rs 6 crore, and Week 2 jumped to Rs 27 crore, more than four times as much. Now the third weekend alone has almost matched Week 2’s momentum.

Pinkvilla compares the film’s journey to Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahayaate and Hanuman Ansh, which also stayed quiet in their initial days and then exploded at the box office. The difference is the genre. Those two have devotional themes, while Premada Oorali is a regular romantic comedy drama.

The Cast

Can It Reach Rs 100 Crore?

Based on current performance, the report says the film is on track to hit the Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian box office. That would be a major milestone for Kannada cinema, and a strong sign that a warm, relatable story can compete without a big-budget spectacle. The film still needs to nearly double its total, so the coming weeks will decide how close it gets.
