And now the actor-producer publicized a new movie which also landscapes senior actor Paran Bandopadhyay in a vital role sideways with him.
The pair of Devs, besides Paran Bandopadhyay, made a huge mark at the box office through their drama film Tonic, which Avijit Sen. directed. Following the accomplishment of that movie, the senior artist Paran Bandopadhyay, besides Tollywood heartthrob Dev, joined hands with Avijit Sen for a newfangled family drama titled Pradhan. It was already known that Bandopadhyay and Dev would be seen on screen in Avijit Sen’s next film, though its title was publicized then.
Pradhan Release Date
Pradhan, Dev’s new movie is all set to be released on Christmas this year itself. Shooting starts from today itself i.e. on 25th August 2023. As soon as they started shooting, the makers shared the poster made the announcement about the movie, and also shared the release date.
However, today, Dev took to social media to publicize his next title, ‘Pradhan,’ directed by Avijit Sen. It will be a joint scheme of Dev Entertainment Ventures and Bengal Talkies. Note that this flick is not a sequel or prequel to Dev’s previous film, Tonic. This time, the trio has developed some new-fangled stories that people can relate to. Well, the leading lady for this picture is yet to be announced.

Dev’s previous three pictures, Tonic, Projapoti, and durgo rohossho, made a huge mark at the box office and were equally directed by Avijit Sen. Both films had a demonstrative touch with a lot of fun and great dialogues. And there were countless similarities with our real lives. Like the previous three, let’s see whether this flick can win the audience’s hearts.
So what’s the story all about? The picture is set in the picturesque locations of North Bengal, and the fantastic hit pair from ‘Tonic,’ Dev and Paran Bandopadhyay, Willpower, play the main leads. But the director has assured that ‘Pradhan’ is not a sequel to ‘Tonic’ or ‘Projapoti.’ “It is completely original level, and there is no connection with Tonic or Projapoti’s storyline. The chemistry between Dev and Paran da will be a treat to watch yet again in ‘Pradhan.’ This will be one of the biggest attractions of the film,” says maker Atanu Raychaudhuri.
When asked about the start of the story of ‘Pradhan,’ Dev says the aim was to disrupt the pattern. “We always sought to break the pattern, but at the same time held in reserve the essence of the concept in mind. ThereQuitew ideas, but stood we finally decided to go ahead with this notion of ‘Pradhan.’ The film is socially relevant as well,” adds Dev.
