Eighteen years after its founding, Practo is entering a new chapter — and it’s bringing a fresh leadership lineup with it. The healthcare platform has announced a major restructuring at the top, elevating founder Shashank ND Singh while handing the CEO reins to former COO Jagnoor Singh, all against a backdrop of strong growth and profitability.

Why The Restructuring, Why Now?

The leadership shake-up arrives at a moment of strong momentum for Practo — the company is growing 40% year-on-year and has stayed profitable for the past two and a half years. As Managing Director and Executive Chairman, Shashank ND Singh will continue shaping Practo’s overall vision, product strategy, long-term innovation agenda, capital strategy, and corporate development, while stepping back from day-to-day operational duties.

Practo

Jagnoor Singh, who joined Practo as COO in January 2025, takes over as CEO, leading the company’s overall strategy, growth, and operations across global markets. Before Practo, he held senior operating roles at Bharti Airtel, Unacademy, and OYO, spanning telecom and consumer internet.

“Jagnoor has brought strong operating rigour and ambition to Practo, and has been instrumental in advancing our growth strategy,” Singh said, adding that he looks forward to working more closely with Jagnoor as the company scales its impact and accelerates innovation.

Jagnoor, in turn, described his conviction in “the opportunity ahead” as having deepened over his time at the company, noting that the focus going forward is on scaling globally, deepening Practo’s role across the healthcare ecosystem, and harnessing AI to improve products and outcomes.

A Deeper Bench Of Leadership

Alongside the top-level changes, Practo has expanded the roles of two long-standing leaders. Co-founder Siddhartha Nihalani now also serves as Chief Operating Officer – B2C, overseeing consumer businesses, while Rowel Coelho, previously Head of Monetization, becomes Chief Operating Officer – B2B, handling enterprise and corporate operations. Co-founder Abhinav Lal has been named Chief Scientist, tasked with leading Practo’s research into frontier AI applications in healthcare and building a future-focused innovation hub.

Practo’s Global Growth Story

The restructuring follows Practo’s expansion of its consumer platform into the UAE and the United States. The company now connects patients with a network of over 700,000 doctors and healthcare providers across 2,400+ cities worldwide, while its hospital information management system, Insta, serves 500+ clients across 1,200+ facilities globally.
