Pati Patni Aur Woh Do First Look Out: Release Date Confirmed

The wait is finally over for comedy lovers. The makers of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do have officially unveiled the first look poster and teaser of the much-awaited comedy sequel. The Pati Patni Aur Woh Do release date has been confirmed as May 15, 2026. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead alongside Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh, the film promises to deliver a fresh dose of chaos and comedy as the popular “Pativerse” expands with a new twist.

The First Look Poster

The newly released first look poster introduces Ayushmann Khurrana as Prajapati Pandey, who appears trapped in a hilariously complicated situation. The poster shows Ayushmann caught inside a net held by three women standing above him, hinting at a tangled love story and comic misunderstandings. Adding to the quirky visuals, the actor is also seen seated beside a cheetah, suggesting the film’s playful and unpredictable tone.

Sharing the poster on social media, Ayushmann Khurrana wrote, “Shikari khud hogaya shikaar! Ab Jaal mein phas gaye humare PRAJAPATI PANDEY. Ho jao #PatiPatniAurWohDo ke liye taiyaar! In cinemas 15th May 2026!”

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Release Date and Film Details

Earlier, the makers had planned to release the film on March 4, 2026, during Holi. However, the release date has now been changed to May 15, 2026.

The Teaser: Introducing the “Pativerse”

Clocking in at 1 minute and 22 seconds, the teaser revisits the familiar “pati-patni-aur-woh” dynamic but raises the stakes significantly. This time, the narrative follows Prajapati Pandey, played by Ayushmann Khurrana, who finds himself entangled not between two, but three women, portrayed by Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh.

The teaser begins with a nostalgic nod to the earlier “pati-patni” narrative, referencing the 1978 BR Chopra classic starring Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha, and Ranjeeta Kaur, before moving on to the 2019 remake led by Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Panday. Set against the backdrop of Prayagraj, the teaser then spirals into a full-blown comedy of errors. Vijay Raaz pops in as a cop to keep things lively.

A Fresh Story, Not a Remake

The plot of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is original, and not a remake of the 2019 film. “It’s a fresh story, with new set of actors, that carries forward the franchise,” sources have confirmed. For the unknown, it is a spiritual sequel to Pati Patni Aur Woh. The original 2019 film was a commercial success, earning approximately ₹86.89 crore at the box office.
