Party Down Finally Crashes Netflix: The Cult Sitcom Adam Scott Fans Have Been Waiting For

Some shows take decades to find their real audience — and Party Down might finally get there. Nearly 20 years after it first aired, the cult-classic Starz sitcom is heading to Netflix for the very first time, bringing all three seasons to the platform on September 22, 2026.

Party Down: Overview

Why Now Is the Perfect Time

Lead star Adam Scott has never been more in demand, thanks to major roles in Severance, Parks and Recreation, and the upcoming Netflix thriller The Whisper Man alongside Robert De Niro. Netflix previously held distribution rights to Party Down through a Starz deal that ended back in 2012, but this marks the show’s official return to the platform — and likely its biggest audience yet, given Scott’s current star power.

What’s Party Down About?

The series follows a group of Los Angeles caterers working for a company called “Party Down” as they juggle catering gigs, personal relationships, and unfulfilled Hollywood dreams. Each episode centers on a different, often bizarre event, giving the show its distinct anthology-style charm. Filmed on a notably tight budget, Party Down built its reputation on sharp, low-key comedy rather than spectacle — including standout episodes built around something as simple as a corporate picnic.

Co-created by Paul Rudd, along with John Enbom, Rob Thomas, and Dan Etheridge, the show ran for two seasons before its Starz cancellation, later earning a surprise six-episode revival in 2023 — 13 years after its original run ended.

Who’s in the Cast?

Adam Scott leads as Henry Pollard, a washed-up actor returning to catering work. He’s joined by Ken Marino as the prideful, accident-prone Ronald, Lizzy Caplan as struggling comedian Casey, Ryan Hansen as delusional rocker-actor Kyle, and Martin Starr as screenwriter-turned-caterer Roman. The show is also known for its long list of guest stars, including J.K. Simmons, Kristen Bell, and Jennifer Garner.
