Nine to Six: Park Min Young and Yook Sungjae’s Behind-the-Scenes Chemistry Is Already Winning Fans

Great on-screen chemistry usually starts off-screen, and the new making-of teaser for Nine to Six suggests this cast is having a wonderful time. With a premiere just weeks away, here’s what the preview shows and why this office romance is shaping up to be one to watch.

Nine to Six : Overview

What Is Nine to Six About?

Kang Ji Yi is a workaholic who has pushed her love life to the back burner because of her intense focus on work. Then she meets Han Seon Woo, a thoughtful and warm-hearted man who helps her learn how to love. Over time, the two grow together in both their careers and personal lives. It’s a classic workplace romance setup, with the promise of a gentler, growth-focused love story rather than pure drama.

What the Behind-the-Scenes Teaser Shows?

On November 6, the drama released a short teaser for its upcoming making-of videos, giving fans a peek at the mood on set. The preview is full of bright smiles from Park Min Young, Yook Sungjae and Go Soo.

One standout moment: Park Min Young introduces herself and her co-star in English, using her English name, Rachel, and calling him by his nickname, Six Cash. It’s a small, playful beat, but it shows how relaxed the cast is together.

The Cast’s Chemistry

The teaser doesn’t hide the laughs. Go Soo keeps making Park Min Young laugh across different takes, while she and Yook Sungjae share playful moments of their own. That kind of ease often translates well on screen, especially in romance, where the audience needs to believe the connection.

Why Fans Are Excited?

Part of the appeal is the pairing itself. Park Min Young is a familiar face in romance dramas, and Yook Sungjae brings a warm, approachable energy that suits a character described as thoughtful and kind. Add Go Soo to the mix, and you have a cast with both experience and charm. The behind-the-scenes preview also hints that the series may deliver comfort-watch vibes, perfect for the colder months.

If you want to revisit their earlier work while waiting, Park Min Young stars in Love in Contract and Yook Sungjae in The Haunted Palace, both on Viki.
