The Story: A Workaholic Learns to Love
Park Min Young plays Kang Ji Yi, a career-driven woman who has pushed her love life aside for years because of her intense focus on work. Everything changes when she meets the thoughtful, warm-hearted Han Seon Woo, played by Yook Sungjae. Through him she learns how to love, and the two grow together in both their careers and personal lives.
What the Teaser Shows?
The teaser opens with Ji Yi’s narration as she heads to the office. As she wonders what she’d say if someone made her choose between work and dating, she sets aside flowers and a diamond ring, a clear sign that she’s married to her career.
Then comes the contrast. Intern Seon Woo says he believes emotions can’t be removed from work done by people. When Ji Yi tells him that being with a superior is just work, he replies that it was fun for him. It’s a small moment, but it hints at where the romance is heading.
The Rival Who Runs on Reason
Go Soo plays division head Park Hyun Tae, a man driven 100 per cent by reason, who offers a very different kind of charm. When Ji Yi turns up to work in clothes he gifted her, Seon Woo can’t hide his jealousy and quietly notes that her clothes have changed. Still, he promises to stay unchanging by her side. That sets up a classic triangle, with logic on one side and sincerity on the other.
Why It’s Worth Watching?
Workplace romances thrive on small details, like glances in meetings, late nights at the office and the tension of mixing business with feelings. This one adds a role reversal, with a confident senior and a heartfelt intern, along with a cast of familiar, well-loved faces. Fans can also catch Park Min Young in Love in Contract and Yook Sungjae in The Haunted Palace while they wait.
