Park Hae-soo and Lee Hee-joon Face a Chilling Serial Killer Case in the Gritty First Poster for “The Scarecrow”

K-drama fans, it’s time to settle in for a new masterclass in suspense. The first official poster for the upcoming thriller The Scarecrow has just dropped, and it is every bit as haunting as the title suggests. Starring the powerhouse duo of Park Hae-soo (Squid Game) and Lee Hee-joon, the series is already generating massive buzz as the must-watch psychological thriller of 2026.

A Dark Descent into the Serial Killer Mindset

The Scarecrow follows a high-stakes investigation into a serial killer who leaves behind macabre, scarecrow-like displays at every crime scene.

Park Hae-soo portrays a meticulous detective whose life becomes entangled with a mysterious figure played by Lee Hee-joon. The newly released poster features the cast staring into a bleak, fog-filled landscape, perfectly capturing the Psychological Thriller atmosphere that director Kim Sung-ryong is known for.

Why “The Scarecrow” is Topping 2026 Watchlists

At TechnoSports, we’ve seen how “dark” procedurals like Beyond Evil or Mouse dominate global streaming charts. The Scarecrow seems poised to follow that legacy. Park Hae-soo’s return to a gritty, grounded role is a major draw, especially when paired with Lee Hee-joon, who is famous for his “chameleon” acting style.

The addition of Kwak Sun-young adds a layer of sharp intelligence to the investigative team. If you’re a fan of complex K-Drama mysteries, this show’s focus on ritualistic crimes and deep-seated trauma will likely keep you guessing until the final episode.

The poster’s tagline—“To catch a monster, you must become the field”—hints at a story where the lines between justice and vengeance are dangerously blurred.
