Set against the backdrop of 1950s Kerala, the film follows Krishna Pillai, a man scarred early in life by the loss of his family. Raised by a compassionate priest, he grows up carrying both grief and a fierce sense of justice. Adopting the name Pothan Christopher, he settles in the village of Kaaniyar, where his warmth and courage quickly win over the locals — including Rebecca, a young woman determined to build a school for every child, regardless of background.

But peace doesn’t last. As violence creeps into Kaaniyar, Krishna stumbles onto a conspiracy connected to a ruthless feudal landlord whose cruelty has shaped generations of suffering, including his own. What follows is a tense mix of sacrifice, resistance, and redemption, ending on a note clearly built for a sequel.

Director Dijo Jose Antony also helmed the acclaimed Malayalam hit Ram, and Pallichattambi continues his interest in grounded, emotionally driven period storytelling.

The film also features Shatru, Vijayaraghavan, Siddique, Baburaj, and Nibraz Noushad in supporting roles, with music by Jakes Bejoy and cinematography by Tijo Tomy.
