The Vivo V27 and V27 Pro smartphones have finally been made available in India after weeks of rumours. The new versions include excellent photography features and a unique rear design that changes colours, just like the V25 and V25 Pro models from the previous year. Since December 2022, China has been the only country in which the Vivo S16 Pro has been sold exclusively.

Vivo V27 Pro features

The Vivo V27 Pro is merely a rebranded version of that device. The Dimensity 7200 SoC found in the V27, on the other hand, is a brand-new component in a new phone. 164.1 x 74.8 x 7.4mm and 182 grammes are the dimensions and weight of the Vivo V27 Pro. A punch hole is located in the centre of the 6.78-inch AMOLED display, which has curved edges.

The display features a 20:9 aspect ratio, 10-bit colours, a 120Hz refresh rate, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and an FHD+ resolution. With OIS capability, the 50-megapixel Sony IMX766V primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a ring flash with three LEDs are all included on the island’s rear-facing camera.

The V27 Pro includes a 4,600mAh battery to keep the lights on and supports 66W quick charging. The only area where the Vivo V27 and V27 Pro differ from one another is in the chipset. Just Fontaine passes away at 89: A look at the World Cup legend’s career

0

Legendary France and Reims striker Just Fontaine has passed away at the age of 89. During his playing days, he was a brilliant striker and holds the record for the most goals scored in a single edition of the World Cup – which stands to this day.

The French forward scored an unbelievable 13 goals in six games at the 1958 World Cup in Sweden. That year, France finished third in the tournament. His national team career, similarly, was filled with goals. Fontaine scored a stunning 30 goals in 21 games with Les Bleus.

A look back at Just Fontaine’s iconic football career

Alongside Stade de Reims, Fontaine played for USM Casablanca and Nice in his career. But, most of his success was with Reims. He played for them between 1956-1962, and won three league titles with them.

He also won the French Cup, and finished as the runner-up in the 1959 European Championship Finals against Real Madrid, who won 2-0. While they didn’t win the trophy, he did finish as the top scorer in that edition with ten goals to his name.

In 284 matches, Just Fontaine scored an eye-catching 258 goals, averaging to almost a goal every single game.

Long after retiring, he founded the French Footballers’ Union in 2014, and also coached PSG. He helped the club earn promotion to the first division in 1974. The footballing world mourns the loss of yet another legend in such a short span of time.

The best book written by a football personality in the past 10 years is Marcus Rashford’s You Are a Champion: How to Be the Best You Can Be. Written in collaboration with performance psychologist Katie Warriner and journalist Carl Anka, the Manchester United star’s motivational work was published in 2021 to widespread acclaim. Rashford, who is known not only for his footballing abilities but also for his outspoken activism, seeks to inspire the generation of tomorrow to achieve their goals in this feel-good 224-page book aimed at children between the ages of 9 and 12.

Currently the second best-selling ‘Children’s Book on Football’ on Amazon UK, You Are a Champion won ‘Children’s Non-Fiction Book of the Year’ and the prestigious ‘Book of the Year’ awards at the 2022 British Book Awards. Based on Amazon and Goodreads ratings, the book finishes with a score of 4.53 out of 5.

In second place is a tie between two books – Thinking Out Loud: Love, Grief and Being Mum and Dad by Rio Ferdinand and Lioness: My Journey to Glory by Beth MeadThinking Out Loud, written by Manchester United defensive legend Rio Ferdinand in 2017, is a book that predominantly explores the themes stated in its title: love, grief, and parenting.

In 2015, Ferdinand tragically lost his wife Rebecca to cancer – Thinking Out Loud explores this loss, as well as providing advice to any reader who may find themselves in a similar unfortunate position. Lioness, on the other hand, is a more straightforward footballer autobiography, narrating the journey of Arsenal star Beth Mead, from joining a local boys’ team in North Yorkshire to winning the UEFA Women’s Euros for England in 2022. Both books share the same final score of 4.41 out of 5.

In fourth place is The Boy On the Shed: A Remarkable Sporting Memoir by Paul Ferris. Following Ferris’ story from a working-class Northern Irish family during The Troubles to becoming Newcastle United’s youngest-ever first-team player, The Boy On the Shed is described as a moving story of ‘love and fate’, and was named The Telegraph Sports Book Awards’ ‘Autobiography of the Year’ in 2019. It finishes with a final score of 4.40 out of 5.

2022 FIFPRO World XI: Disparities with ‘The Best’ rankings that need to be talked about

0

The 2022 FIFPRO World XI has left people confused, if anything. The main reason being the inconsistencies between the line-up, and the ranking of players that were presented in the Men’s Best Player category.

Lionel Messi ended up winning the individual award for his remarkable performance at the 2022 World Cup. On the other hand, Emiliano Martinez was named the best goalkeeper at the ceremony for winning the penalty shootout which led to Argentina’s World Cup win.

2022 FIFPRO World XI – How it really should have been

While Messi was named in the 2022 FIFPRO World XI, Emiliano Martinez was replaced by Thibaut Courtois of Belgium and Real Madrid. His performance in the Champions League final was key to Madrid winning their 14th UCL title.

The difference is that FIFPRO consists of only the players voting for the best line-up. On the other hand, FIFA’s The Best Awards include votes from journalists, coaches, national team captains as well as the fans.

And as a result, there are quite a few notable absentees from the FIFPRO line-up, which would have been included had ‘The Best’ rankings been used.

There can be very little dispute when it comes to the FIFPRO World XI. But, since Courtois has made the lineup ahead of Martinez, perhaps he should have won the Best goalkeeper award as well.

Croatia’s Dominik Livakovic and Morocco’s Bono both had a great case for themselves had the World Cup weighed in so much. But, both players have been snubbed for Martinez, who was also named the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

Manchester United vs West Ham United: Lineup and how to watch the FA Cup match LIVE in India?

0

Manchester United are a completely different team now under Erik Ten Hag. The Red Devils have won the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United to end their six-year-long trophy drought. United are still in the race for a quadruple as they are third in the Premier League and are still alive in the Europa League. The FA Cup is another competition in which they have a very realistic chance to win.

Erik Ten Hag would most probably come with all guns blazing, except Shaw and Fred who have injury doubts, in this FA Cup fixture against West Ham United. The Hammers aren’t having a good Premier League season as they are currently in 16th place. So they would also want to progress as far as they can in the FA Cup.

India Vs Australia: Australian Domination on Day 1, Crucial Takeaways from the match

India Vs Australia : Australia’s team bounced back in the third Test match against India at the Holkar Stadium in Indore, dominating the hosts on the first day of the game. After two embarrassing defeats, Australia’s spinners skittled India for 109 in just 30 minutes of the second session. The visitors then ended the day on 156-4, establishing a lead of 47 runs.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the key takeaways from Australia’s performance on the first day : Australian Domination, India Vs Australia

  1. Rookie Spinner’s Five-Wicket Haul

Left-arm spinner Matt Kuhnemann made his second Test appearance and picked up his maiden five-wicket haul, finishing with figures of 5-16. Kuhnemann was the standout performer of the day, helping Australia to bowl out India for their fourth-lowest total at home against Australia. Along with Kuhnemann, Nathan Lyon and Todd Murphy also played a crucial role, taking nine wickets between them.

  1. India’s Batting Collapse

India’s batting order crumbled under the spin attack of Australia, losing their last five wickets for just 18 runs. After a promising start, India’s batsmen failed to build partnerships, with none of them scoring more than 22 runs. The Indian team had burned all three of their reviews by the time they reached their 100-run mark, leaving them without any options to challenge umpiring decisions later in the game.

  1. Australia’s Top Order Struggles

Although Australia ended the day on a high, their top order once again struggled against India’s bowlers. Travis Head, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschange, and Steve Smith were all dismissed, leaving the visitors at 87-4. In-form batsman Peter Handscomb is still at the crease on seven, and Cameron Green is also unbeaten on six. Australia needs to improve their top-order performance if they want to secure a comprehensive win.

  1. Ravi Jadeja’s All-Round Performance

All-rounder Ravi Jadeja was the pick of the Indian bowlers, picking up all four Australian wickets to fall on the day, including the prized scalp of acting captain Steve Smith. Jadeja has been in excellent form throughout the series and is looking to help India bounce back from their defeat in the second Test.

  1. Australia’s Chance to Secure a Spot in World Test Championship Final

The winner of the ongoing Test series between India and Australia will secure a spot in the World Test Championship final at The Oval in June. The third Test is crucial for both teams, as it will decide which team progresses to the final. With their dominant performance on the first day, Australia has a chance to secure their spot in the final.

India Vs Australia : Australia’s dominating performance on the first day of the third Test against India has put them in a commanding position. However, India has shown in the past that they can bounce back from difficult situations, and it will be interesting to see how they respond on the second day of the match. If Australia can continue their excellent performance with the ball and improve their top-order batting, they have a good chance of securing a comprehensive win and progressing to the World Test Championship final.

What action did Adani take to regain the trust of investors?

The Indian billionaire, who was once Asia’s richest person, has recruited top US crisis communication and legal teams, abandoned plans to buy an $850 million coal plant, cut costs, paid back some debt, and planned to return more. From third to thirty-first in terms of wealth, Gautam drops.

Since Hindenburg Research published a report on January 24 accusing Adani Group of accounting fraud, stock manipulation, and other breaches of corporate governance, the company is attempting to win back and reassure the nervous lenders and investors. Every one of these accusations is still refuted by The Adani Group.

What action did Adani take to regain the trust of investors?

Everything you need to know about Adani’s action

In the wake of the Hindenburg report, the market has been in a tailspin, and Adani Group has been prepaying a couple of its loans to try to win back investor trust. Reuters reported today that Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone planned to prepay ₹1,000 crores in commercial papers due in March 2023. A company representative confirmed this. For commercial papers that matured on Monday, Adani Ports also paid ₹1,500 crores to SBI Mutual Fund as part of its recovery plan.

Adani Ports had earlier this month stated that it was thinking about paying back the loan of roughly ₹5,000 crores in the fiscal year 2023–24 before making this declaration. Plans for a capex of 10,000 crores have been reviewed by Adani Greens. They stated in their Q3 earnings that their plans for capital expenditures totaling 10,000 crores have been reviewed.

2 What action did Adani take to regain the trust of investors?

In an effort to calm investors’ fears, Gautam Adani and his family paid off debt secured by shares totaling ₹9,250 crore earlier this month. The Adani Group has stated that “this is in continuation of promoters’ pledge to prepay all share-backed finance.” Now that Hindenburg Research has released its report against Adani Group, it remains to be seen how long the stock crash lasts amidst Adani Group’s actions to recover. One month has nearly passed since that time.
