Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh Delight Fans with Announcement of First Pregnancy, Baby Expected in September

Rumors began circulating when she reportedly made efforts to conceal her stomach at the 77th BAFTA red carpet event in London. Deepika graced the occasion in a dazzling shimmery saree paired with custom jewelry designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

Deepika’s Perspective on Parenthood

In a statement to Vogue Singapore in January 2024, Deepika expressed her excitement for parenthood, stating, “Ranveer and I adore children. We eagerly await the moment when we can start our own family.” She also reflected on her upbringing, stressing the significance of remaining grounded despite fame and wealth.

“In this industry, it’s easy to be swept away by fame and wealth. However, at home, nobody treats me like a celebrity. I am first a daughter and a sister. I want to maintain that. My family keeps me rooted, and Ranveer and I aspire to instill the same values in our children.”

Colleagues from the industry, including Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shreya Ghoshal, Vikrant Massey, and Alia Bhatt, extended their congratulations to the couple on the joyous news. “Mubarak,” Priyanka wrote in the comment section of Deepika and Ranveer’s post.

Deepika and Ranveer, aged 38, exchanged vows in a private wedding ceremony in 2018 at Lake Como, Italy.
