If you own an Oppo Reno6 5G, you will be glad to know that Oppo is quite frequently pushing updates to its Reno6 series of smartphones. Recently it brought the major ColorOS 12 update with the latest Android 12 support and following that even before the January month-end it has launched a new update.

This update weighs 880MB and is readily downloaded over Wi-Fi, the key update changes include the new January 2022 Android security patch, Omoji support – nothing but Oppo’s copy over Memoji and a wide range of System improvements.

This is a nice gesture from Oppo to keep bringing new updates on all of its devices and try to improve its ColorOS, the update is already here in India for the Reno6 series, if you own one, check out your settings.

  • A new function that allows you to customize your unique virtual image.

Security

  • Integrates the January 2022 Android security patch to enhance system security.

System

  • Improves system performance in some scenarios.
  • Extends the battery life in some scenarios.
  • Fixes an issue where fingerprint unlock might respond slowly.

Apps

  • Fixes an issue where some third-party apps were unable to recognize your fingerprint.
