Oppo Reno 5 4G with Snapdragon 720G launched in Vietnam at $377

Oppo has been in the news lately for its new series. Its next-generation Reno5 series which consists of Reno5 5G, Reno5 Pro 5G, and Reno5 Pro+ 5G has added another fourth member. Oppo has officially launched another smartphone in this series which is Oppo Reno5 4G in Vietnam. The price of this new handset is 8,690,000 Vietnamese Dong which is approximately $377.

According to the reports, this Oppo Reno5 4G will soon hit the market of Indonesia. This launch can be as soon as 12th January 2021. The device comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It has a decent refresh rate of 90Hz. Some of the smartphones in a similar category in which this smartphone competes have a refresh rate of 120Hz. As this is a 4G model, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC which is an older version as compared to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC. As said before, the main reason behind this is the 4G LTE connectivity. The device has decent storage of 128GB. This internal storage capacity can be expanded with the aid of a microSD card slot. It also houses 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM.

Coming to the optics, Oppo Reno5 4G has a quad-camera setup on the backside. The quad-camera set consists of a 44-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor and an 8-megapixel superwide lens. The front-camera which is most used to click selfies houses a 44-megapixel sensor. It runs on the latest Android 11 operating system out-of-the-box alongside Oppo’s ColorOS 11.1.

Talking on the battery domain, Oppo Reno5 4G holds up a 4,310mAh battery pack. This battery supports first-gen 50W SuperVOOC fast charging technology. It does not look like this would be an end to Oppo’s new devices. Market analysts believe that Reno5 5G series smartphones will be launched globally very soon.
