Oppo has been developing under-display cameras since late 2019, but the brand is wary of releasing a device with the technology integrated into it Oppo does not want to rush a device with such technology as brands that have done so, have received mixed responses from the customers.
The main criticism of under-display cameras is their mediocre performance. Oppo is looking to change that perception as the company received a patent earlier today, for a device with an under-display camera and a small screen on the back, next to the main camera setup.
We are not sure if it is a part of the Find X4 Series or not.
The patent received approval from CNIPA (Chinese National Intellectual Property Association), but just now it is approved for global use.
We have obtained the images courtesy of LetsGoDigital, the images reveal the screen is curved from all four sides, and the rear camera island is square in shape with four shooters inside, although the amount of cameras is not part of the patent, it is just part of an illustration.
The second display is likely to help with selfies and display notifications. Having a screen next to the cameras dates back to the Meizu 7 Pro Series and was recently adopted by the Mi 11 Ultra, allowing them to capture selfies with the main camera.
