OPPO Find N5 and X8 Ultra: Key Features and Camera Leaks

The OPPO Find N5 is set to launch in China next month, with the brand having already teased some of its key features, including its slim profile, wireless charging, and IP ratings. Other specs of the device have also been revealed via leaks and rumors. Recently, a Chinese tipster revealed details about the periscope camera on both the Find N5 and Find X8 Ultra, the latter set to debut in China after the foldable device.

The OPPO Find N5 and Find X8 Ultra will pack a telephoto macro snapper capable of taking close-up shots, such as of nature (via Weibo) according to Smart Pikachu. This functionality will be supported by the telephoto sensor, which will also offer zoom capabilities for distant subjects. The predecessors, Find N3 and Find X8 Ultra, did not have this.

For the cameras, the OPPO Find N5 is going to feature a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens as well as a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. The ultra model, known as the Find X8 Ultra, may pack five sensors on its back, all of them 50MP: one for the main camera, one for ultra-wide, and two for 3x and 6x periscope telephotos. The source also reported that the Find N5 is thin and light and that its internal and external displays come with flat panels and ultra-narrow bezels.

The camera specs of the OPPO Find N5 that will launch in China will globally be known as the OnePlus Open 2, which is expected to share the same photography hardware. So it is still unclear if the Find X8 Ultra will launch globally this year. The Find X8 series, launched in India last November, revived OPPO’s Find X-series after a hiatus of four years following the Find X2. The OnePlus Open was launched in India in October 2023, priced at ₹1.4 lakh, while the Find X8 duo starts at ₹69,999.
