Oppo Band with 1.1-inch AMOLED display & SpO2 Sensor sensor launched at 199 Yuan

The wearable race for smartphone manufacturers are on a rise as every other of them are launching their own smart band or watch every now and then. Oppo too joined the race with its smartwatch earlier, and now alongside the new Reno4 and Reno4 Pro smartphones, the Chinese smartphone giant did introduce with its first smart band – Oppo Band.

We already have bee hearing its rumours earlier, and it’s finally launched with 3 variants – Oppo Band, Oppo Band Fashion, and Oppo Band EVA, priced at 199 Yuan (Rs.2,122), 249 Yuan (Rs. 2,656), and 299 Yuan (Rs. 3,189) respectively. The Oppo Band will be available in two colours: Night Black and Mist Purple.

Talking of the specs, all of the three variants have the same specs inside, featuring a 1.1-inch AMOLED display that covers 100% of the P3 color gamut along with a resolution of up 126 x 294 pixels. Oppo says there will be over 160 watch faces and 5 watch faces are available on the fitness band at a time.

Oppo Band EVA

The Oppo band is powered by the Apollo 3 chip, the same present in the Oppo Watch as well. It can be paired with devices running Android 6.0+ or iOS 10.0+ via Bluetooth 5.0. It also features continuous heart rate tracking, sleep monitoring and blood oxygen monitoring (due to the SpO2 sensor onboard). 

The band also comes with 12 sports modes including outdoor running, outdoor cycling, walking, treadmill, indoor cycling, free training, fat loss running, badminton, swimming, rowing, elliptical, and weightlifting. You can access calls and message alerts, app notifications, music controls, weather, stopwatch, alarm, find my phone using the band.

Oppo Band Fashion

Oppo Band is 5ATM water-resistant and supports NFC (only Fashion variant) for contactless payments. It sports a 100mAh battery which the company promises up to an incredible 14-days of battery life on a single charge, similar to Mi Band 4, also likewise it has a cradle in which the band will get charged in 1.5 hours.

The other two variants have some extra specialities, the Oppo Band Fashion featuring a floating strap design with Black and Sandal colour variants. While the Oppo Band EVA does feature design as the Fashion but coming with a Neon Genesis Evangelion anime-themed strap. The Oppo Band is now up for sale in China while the fashion variant will be on sale from 9th July.
