Oppo A54 and A74 launched in Europe as low-cost 5G smartphones

The Chinese giant, Oppo, has launched its two new devices in the European market. These two smartphones are OPPO A54 5G and OPPO A74 5G. Huawei has been struggling for the last three years to hold its market share in the European and the American market due to the sanctions implied by the US government. It is continuously losing its market and this has opened the gates for companies like Oppo to make use of the opportunity.

The OPPO A54 5G flaunts a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution. It has a modest 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC and runs on the Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1. This chipset supports 5G connectivity. The smartphone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

In terms of optics, it offers a quad-camera setup at the rear that includes a 48 MP main sensor, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2 MP macro lens, and 2 MP depth sensor. For selfies and video chats, it brings a 16 MP front camera. The smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery cell.

The A54 5G smartphone is coupled with 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB of expandable UFS 2.1 flash storage. The OPPO A54 5G is priced at €269 or approximately $324 and is available in Fantastic Purple and Fluid Black colours.

OPPO A74 5G

OPPO A74 5G tipped to launch in India by April end - Gizmochina

The OPPO A74 5G brings the same display and mobile processor as the OPPO A54 5G. The only change comes in RAM and processor. It is paired only with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.

The camera model is also exactly the same as the above-listed model. The A74 5G’s 5,000 mAh battery supports 18W fast charging over a USB Type-C port. The OPPO A74 5G will cost you €299 or approximately $360. It is present in Fluid Black and Space Silver colours.
