OnePlus Teams Up with Optiemus Electronics: IoT Manufacturing Gets a Boost in India

OnePlus has just dropped some exciting news that’s got tech enthusiasts buzzing! The global smartphone giant has partnered with Optiemus Electronics Limited (OEL) to manufacture premium Internet of Things (IoT) devices right here in India. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in OnePlus’s commitment to the Indian market.

Partnership Highlights

What This Means for Indian Consumers

The collaboration kicks off with the local production of the popular OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3 – known for its ultra-low latency and immersive bass quality. This isn’t just about manufacturing; it’s about bringing cutting-edge audio technology closer to Indian consumers while reducing costs through local production.

Robin Liu, CEO of OnePlus India, emphasized that “India has always been at the heart of our journey,” highlighting how this partnership reflects their strong commitment to Project Starlight and local community empowerment.

The Bigger Picture

This partnership isn’t happening in isolation. OnePlus already manufactures smartphones in India, and now they’re expanding their local production capabilities to include their entire IoT portfolio. The collaboration with OEL promises to:

• Increase BOM level localization
• Reduce manufacturing costs
• Improve supply chain resilience
• Create more job opportunities

Ashok Gupta, Executive Chairman of Optiemus Group, sees this as a pivotal step toward becoming India’s most trusted electronics manufacturer, combining innovation with excellence.

Why This Matters

With India’s growing appetite for premium tech accessories and the government’s push for local manufacturing, this partnership comes at the perfect time. OnePlus continues to strengthen its “Never Settle” philosophy while contributing to India’s manufacturing ecosystem.
