OnePlus Open detailed prior to launch was also spotted on Geekbench

OnePlus will soon release its first folding smartphone, called the OnePlus Open. This cutting-edge device embodies the brand’s “Never Settle” ethos and commitment to providing users with the fastest, smoothest, and most practical mobile experience possible.

OnePlus Open detailed prior to launch

The OnePlus Open aims to redefine what a modern flagship smartphone should be in 2023, prioritizing portability, durability, and top-notch imaging in its design. By investing in mechanical design and material choices, OnePlus has created a foldable device that feels like a regular single-display smartphone but with the added convenience of a folding capability.

The hinge of the OnePlus Open is a major breakthrough, featuring an improved Flexion design that reduces weight and component requirements. Additionally, the device utilizes innovative materials like titanium alloy and carbon fibre to maintain its lightweight yet sturdy construction.

The screen crease, often considered a downside of foldable, is nearly imperceptible on the OnePlus Open, thanks to careful pressure relief and a water-drop hinge design. The iconic Alert Slider from OnePlus’s previous devices has been incorporated into the OnePlus Open, with an optimized design and a reduction in module size.

Overall, the OnePlus Open represents the brand’s openness to new ideas and solutions, pushing the boundaries of foldable smartphones and delivering flagship-level experiences.

In terms of specs, as we know, you will get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with 16GB RAM so you can expect top-of-the-line performance. Spotted recently by 91Mobiles, the new OnePlus foldable does sport some serious numbers on Geekbench, scoring about 2014 points on single-core and 5463 points on multi-core, making it one of the most powerful flagship phones out there.

In the FCC listings too, the foldable was seen to have Wi-Fi 7 standard like the OnePlus 11 and the latest Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. Soon, the device will be launching on 19th October, a day after tomorrow, and more details about the launch will also be coming up on TechnoSports as well, so, stay tuned!
