91mobiles can now exclusively reveal that the TWS earbuds are indeed dubbed as ‘OnePlus Nord Buds 3r’ and they have received certifications from Canada Radio Equipment Release List, which has also allowed us to learn key details about this device along with its model number. The latest Nord Buds 3r made rounds across multiple online certification platforms lately.

The Upcoming OnePlus Nord Buds 3r

The REL lists the Nord Buds 3r as having model number E511A and includes an LTE approval date of May 31, with OnePlus listed as its original device manufacturer. The firmware version V0.2.6. A hint on the under ‘headphone’, that suggests it is during development and testing.

More specifics from the FCC certification listing confirm that each Nord Buds 3r earbud will have a larger 58mAh battery, up significantly compared to the 36mAh cells onboard on Nord Buds 2r, but at least their case has slimmed down some more: capacity is now capped at just under half of its predecessor’s size with only 440mAh presumably for form and weight balance. Images from the FCC documentation depict the top cross-section of the charging case. The images potentially provide a hint on what it might have been like to store top-down earbuds similar to Nord Buds.

These can be expected to launch in India soon as well since the OnePlus Nord Buds 3r have received their BIS certification alongside the FCC one. However, specific hardware features have not been explicitly detailed in the certification filings, leaving enthusiasts to anticipate further announcements closer to the official launch.

As for pricing, details are expected to be disclosed nearer to the launch date. The Nord Buds series is known for offering budget-friendly TWS earbuds compared to the OnePlus’ premium Buds lineup, aiming to provide essential features at an affordable price point. Speculations suggest the Nord Buds 3r could be priced competitively under ₹3,000 in India, making them an attractive option for users seeking reliable wireless earbuds without breaking the bank.
