OnePlus Nord 5, CE 5 Certified in Singapore Ahead of Launch

OnePlus is gearing up to launch its next-generation Nord smartphones — the OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE 5. Both models have now received IMDA certification in Singapore, confirming their imminent arrival in the country. This certification mentions the devices with model numbers CPH2709 (Nord 5) and CPH2719 (Nord CE 5) and confirms their 5G, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC connectivity.

OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 Get IMDA Certification, Tipped to Launch Soon with 7000mAh Batteries

Despite the fact that the IMDA listing provides nothing in the way of technical specifications, it lines up with previous certifications and leaks that outed a few of the upcoming features. Like, the OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G was recently GCF certified, and the Nord 5 5G has also been approved by TUV Rheinland earlier this month.

The certification also revealed that the Nord 5 would come with a 6650 mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging. Further, the TDRA certification for the Nord CE 5 means the phone’s arrival in the UAE could come soon as well.

The OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 are tipped to be powered by MediaTek SoCs — Dimensity 8350 and Dimensity 9400e, as per multiple tipsters. The two phones are said to feature huge 7000 mAh batteries, a plastic back panel, and will be available in distinct designs to tell them apart. The Nord 5 is rumoured to be a rebranded variant of the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition.

The two Nord models are also rumoured to launch on different dates, however, OnePlus has not said anything about when the phones will arrive globally. With certifications in multiple regions like Singapore and the UAE now secured, the launch of the OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 appears to be just around the corner. Fans can expect more detailed specs and design reveals in the coming weeks.
