OnePlus is gearing up for its next big launch, the launch of the successor to the Nord 2 released last year, the OnePlus Nord 2T. Looking at the majority of the specifications that have been leaked, the phone appears to be adopting the same formula as its predecessor, providing the best specs possible for a mid-range price point.
As per OnLeaks, the OnePlus Nord 2T is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chip. The processor has not yet been officially released so the Nord 2T could be one of the first devices to be powered by it.
As its name suggests, we can expect a significant bump in terms of performance over the Dimensity 1200 along with an advanced manufacturing process.
Coming to the display, the Nord 2T will have a 6.43″ Full HD+ AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels with a 90Hz refresh rate, similar to last year’s model.
The charging department has also received a significant upgrade, with a 4,500mAh battery with the capability of 80W SuperVOOC speeds via wired charging. This is the same as the OnePlus 10 Pro, so you will be getting flagship-level charging at a mid-range price point.
In terms of optics, most of the specs are similar to the Nord 2, although there is a possibility that we could see newer sensors, the Nord 2T is expected to feature a triple camera setup at the rear with a 50MP primary sensor. We can expect to see an 8MP ultrawide sensor along with a 2MP monochrome lens. It will pack a 32MP selfie shooter.
The Nord 2T will come in 6GB/8GB RAM options with 128GB and 256GB storage. It is likely to run on OxygenOS 12-based Android 12 out-of-the-box. The launch date and regions have not yet been revealed.
The OnePlus Nord 2 is likely to have the same price point as the Nord 2 as it has minor upgrades at best over its predecessor. OnePlus is also working on releasing another mid-ranger, the Nord CE 2 5G as well.
