OnePlus launched the OnePlus Nord Core Edition earlier this month in the country. The company seems to be gearing up for another smartphone launch. OnePlus is said to launch OnePlus Nord 2 5G, the successor to OG OnePlus Nord that launched last year in July. The Nord 2 is tipped to make its debut sometime next month in the country.
OnePlus Nord 2 specs have been spotted on the AI Benchmark platform ahead of the phone’s rumored to launch in July. Tipster Mukul Sharma found the upcoming phone on the AI Benchmark website, which reveals the chipset and RAM, among other things. The device was spotted in a BIS listing sporting the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 along with 8GB RAM. The phone could also feature 12GB RAM like the original OnePlus Nord. Now, a new leak from tipster Steve H.McFly (@OnLeaks) via 91Mobiles also gives us our first look at the OnePlus Nord 2’s supposed design. Let us take a look at the specifications and design
OnePlus Nord 2 design
Going through the newly surfaced renders of the upcoming OnePlus Nord 2 5G, we can see that the device will feature a punch-hole set up at the left corner of the screen. It will offer small bezels around the display and it will feature volume rockers on the left side while the right side of the smartphone will feature the power button and alert slider button.
The upcoming OnePlus Nord 2 features a triple camera setup, and an LED flash and the same is in a rectangular module on the top left corner on the back. We can also see that the upcoming smartphone supports a USB Type-C port, SIM tray, and a speaker grille at the bottom.
OnePlus Nord 2 Specifications (Expected)
The upcoming Nord 2 visited the AI benchmark website earlier this morning revealing the presence of a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC under the hood. The certification website further revealed that the Nord 2 will have an 8GB RAM variant.
An earlier report had suggested that the handset will offer a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, similar to the OG Nord. The upcoming Nord 2 is said to offer a triple-rear camera setup including a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and another 2MP sensor. For the selfies, the handset might offer a 32MP shooter housed inside a punch-hole notch.
OnePlus Nord 2 is said to sport a 4,500mAh battery, about 10% more compared to the OG Nord. The handset might retail only in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB variants.
