OnePlus is revealing a few details about its upcoming Nord N300, first of all, it will come with fast 33W wired charging. The phone appeared with the CPH2389 model number and the listing confirmed it would support the n2,n25,n41, n66, n71 and n77 5G bands. According to reports, the device is coming to North America next month, where it will follow up the perfect OnePlus N200.
OnePlus Nord N300 will Launch in November
OnePlus spokesperson Spenser Blank on Thursday told The Verge that the Nord N300 5G will launch in North America next month, while also confirming the processor, display, and charging support specifications of the upcoming entrant into the company’s most affordable smartphone lineup.
Another piece of information that OnePlus provided is that the N300 will come with a MediaTek processor. It will be the first North American OnePlus phone to provide such a chipset, as previous OnePlus smartphones have been equipped with Snapdragon processors. The N300 will also have a screen twith a refresh rate of up to 90Hz, rendering video animations smoother than 60Hz.
The Nord N300 will offer a display with a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. The other significant feature revealed ahead of its announcement is that the Nord N300 will feature 33W wired fast charging. While fast charging has become quite common nowadays, especially in Android devices, this is a little faster than what we have previously seen in mid-range budget handsets. For comparison, last year’s Nord N200 offered wired fast charging at 18W.
OnePlus’ recent high-end phones have been a little hit-or-miss as far as features and price are concerned, but its most recent Nord-series budget phones have been more successful. The mid-range budget handset will arrive sometime next month in North America, and although the company has not announced pricing for the phone but as far as the pricing goes, it might retail for somewhere between $200 and $300 given the performance it will provide.
