OnePlus 12 and 12R are to launch in India and Globally on January 23

The OnePlus 12 will eventually make its worldwide debut on January 23 after going on sale exclusively in China earlier this month. In addition, the OnePlus 12R will be unveiled at the event.

The OnePlus 12R was supposed to launch concurrently as well, but it never happened, going by OnePlus’s exclusive Ace branding in China. However, given that OnePlus has already confirmed the product’s existence, we may learn more about it shortly. Before the big worldwide reveal, it should most likely debut in China in the next few days.

The Chinese variant of the OnePlus 12 sports a 5.8-inch 2K or 1440p LTPO AMOLED display from BOE. The greatest brightness it can possibly display is 4,500 nit.

OnePlus 12 and 12R launch date and specifications

The OnePlus launch event is scheduled to take place in India and is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM IST. In addition to being live-streamed on YouTube, the event is anticipated to draw actual attendance. This month, OnePlus is commemorating its tenth anniversary.

Additionally, OnePlus stated that the OnePlus 12R will mark the first time the R-series is sold outside of China and India. It is anticipated that the smartphone will use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, while its older sister will have the most recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. A metal frame and a significantly brighter display are two more improvements.

The OnePlus 12 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The 6.82-inch X1 “Oriental” LTPO OLED display has a resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels and a peak brightness of 2600 nits. The phone’s 5400mAh battery may be quickly charged with a 100W wired fast charger. It will run OxygenOS 14, which is based on Android 14, outside.
