A First Look at the Madness

Leonardo DiCaprio as Bob Ferguson: A Revolutionary With a Twist

The One Battle After Another Trailer introduces audiences to Bob Ferguson in a hilariously unconventional way. Clad in a bathrobe and beanie, he scrambles to use a payphone, struggling to recall secret codewords while seeking help from his mysterious allies. From the very beginning, it’s evident that Bob is no ordinary hero—his methods are as chaotic as his appearance.

Benicio del Toro plays Bob’s mentor, a character who takes an unorthodox approach to training. One of the trailer’s standout moments features Del Toro’s character urging Bob to embrace fearlessness—by shoving him out of a moving car. The final moments of the One Battle After Another Trailer escalate into sheer madness as Bob and his mentor prepare for battle, shouting “Viva la revolución!” in an electrifying scene.

The Most Expensive Film of Anderson’s Career

Reports suggest that One Battle After Another is Anderson’s most ambitious and costly project yet, with an estimated budget reaching $140 million. Shot on 35mm using VistaVision cameras, the film promises a visually stunning experience, with filming locations spread across California and El Paso, Texas. Produced by Anderson, Sara Murphy, and the late Adam Somner, this project aims to be one of the most talked-about releases of the year.

For DiCaprio, One Battle After Another marks his first major role since his Academy Award-nominated performance in Killers of the Flower Moon (2023). Meanwhile, Anderson, an 11-time Oscar nominee, is yet to secure a win despite his critically acclaimed films, including Licorice Pizza and Boogie Nights.
