The Prime Minister of Japan Yoshihide Suga had previously allowed the audience to spectate the Olympics despite experts suggesting otherwise other than that COVID-19 experts, organisers and officials are still debating regarding allowance of audience in the Tokyo Olympics.

Expert’s view on the safest way to conduct this year’s Olympics is to banish the spectators from coming to see the events in order to keep the COVID cases in control.

Further on, If foreign players coming to Tokyo to participate in this year’s Olympics are found breaching the preset COVID-19 they will be kicked out of the tournament as stated in the playbook stating ;“There may be consequences imposed upon you in the event of a breach of these measures including procedures for revocation of your permit of stay in Japan.”

Christophe Dubi, the International Olympic Committee’s executive director stated “What is in the playbook is a range, a range of possibilities. This is to give an overall impression of what could happen in case of sanctions,” he said. “We will not speculate which case will lead to what sanction. This is the role of the commission.”
