The 2020-21 football season is almost at the verge of completion. So the football clubs are already thinking ahead for the next season, planning their teams and the jerseys, which are one of the many sources of income for a football club.
Premier League club Chelsea has now unveiled their new home jersey ahead of the 2021-22 season. The new 2021-22 Chelsea kit is said to be 60s inspired with a yellow trim, two-tone blue with a combination of chequered and zig-zags running through the shirt, along with the usual Three sponsor.
The socks and shorts haven’t been unveiled yet but it seems the socks will be like previous traditional ones and the shorts can have the same zig zag pattern like the jersey.
Interestingly, Chelsea are set to debut the new kit on Saturday when they face Leicester City in the FA Cup final. However, they had some bad luck when wearing next season’s new shirt in the 2008 Champions League final. So they might want to wear the same 2020-21 season kit in the Champions League final against Manchester City.
