NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 ‘Blackwell’ GPUs: Launch Teaser Soon!

NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 “Blackwell” gaming GPUs are expected to launch soon, according to prominent leaker Kopite7kimi. NVIDIA hasn’t disclosed any details officially, but this leak suggests that it’s around the corner. He used the social media platform X to post the information in a rather cryptic manner, indicating that the release of the next-gen GPUs is imminent.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 ‘Blackwell’ GPUs Expected to Launch Soon, Teaser Announcement Likely Before CES 2025

We also heard previous reports that NVIDIA intended to announce the GeForce RTX 50 series at CES 2025 beyond at least three models, the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070. Some of the initial specifications that we anticipate for each of these GPUs, along with their TDPs have already been leaked. Still, nothing has been confirmed about the specific launch date along with the pricing. Pricing rumors this early — and about a new device this far away from the market — should always be viewed with a healthy dose of skepticism, as they can be subject to change.

Thus far NVIDIA has hosted special events for its consumer-grade products, but none have been announced for the RTX 50 series yet. If the leak is accurate, we could potentially see a teaser announcement in a matter of weeks, likely before the end of November or the beginning of December. That timing would correspond with previous reports which have indicated that an official launch is just around the corner.

With NVIDIA’s CEO, Jensen Huang, set to deliver the keynote address at CES 2025, it’s highly likely that the RTX 50 series will be unveiled during this event. This would cue up an official public reveal, then a subsequent announcement with availability and pricing details. Now alongside these desktop graphics cards, NVIDIA should also introduce a GeForce RTX 50 “Blackwell” laptop gaming lineup as well. We expect these new GPUs to show up in high-end and high-performance laptops also based on the latest Intel and AMD chips, broadening the reach of the RTX 50 series for desktop and mobile platforms.
