Nottingham Forest smashed the record for the most transfers in a single window by a Premier League club, signing 21 players in the summer of 2022. Scottish sides Dundee (summer of 2000) and Livingston (2001) held the previous record, with 19 incomings.
Club owner Evangelos Marinakis has backed Steve Cooper to the greatest extent possible. The manager now has a brand new squad to work with, as reinforcements have arrived in every position.

The likes of James Garner, Philip Zinckernagel, Max Lowe, Keinan Davis, Brice Samba and Djed Spence all returned to their parent clubs after their loan spells expired. Over 20 players left the club at the end of the season, after winning promotion to the top flight.
As a result, the massive incoming list was necessary for the playoff winners to have a competitive squad.

Steve Cooper proved his worth when he won the play-offs last season. And now, he has a bigger challenge in front of him in the Premier League.
