What Happens in Episode 4?
Set in the Murray Hill neighbourhood of New York City, the show follows five ambitious twenty-somethings navigating work, love, and very bad professional decisions. Episode 4 spreads itself evenly across the ensemble — but every single subplot is quietly building toward a future disaster.
Kel discovers that a cheap photoshoot for jaw surgery has gone viral — his face is now on a giant billboard advertising a procedure he’s never had. When his parents confront him, he confesses to having dropped out of med school, which predictably they don’t take well. But standing firm does him some good — it helps him understand that pursuing your passions matters, even if he remains too focused on Abby to notice a colleague who’s clearly throwing herself at him.

Josh spends the episode battling an online conspiracy theory that his boss Wes Dryden is dead and all his TV appearances are deepfakes. He uses his own social media account to fight it, which only legitimises the rumour. Wes’s only option is to lean in and pretend to be a ghost live on air. It’s ridiculous — and it’s also quietly setting Josh up for a workplace romance.
Abby is still fighting to keep things professional with her client Austin, until he asks her to personally style him for George Clooney’s upcoming humanitarian awards — a request that makes professional distance nearly impossible. Ready Steady Cut
The Ending Explained: AJ and Bill’s Kiss
The big moment belongs to AJ and Bill. The CEO of Spanx is trying to acquire a girdle company using Bill’s firm as an intermediary, but Bill once insulted the girdle CEO with an offhanded misogynistic remark. AJ steps up, confronts Bill about it, and somehow convinces Bill and his entire team to wear girdles in solidarity. The deal goes through. Ready Steady Cut
The power move works — and it clearly impresses Bill. By the end of episode 5, Bill makes clear his feelings for AJ are genuine, and their second kiss confirms neither of them is willing to ignore the attraction any longer. However, because Bill is AJ’s boss, their romance could create professional complications threatening both their careers.
It’s the kind of ending that feels like a win — but is unmistakably the first tick of a time bomb. For more streaming series coverage, visit TechnoSports Entertainment. For background on the workplace comedy genre this show draws from, check out Wikipedia’s overview.
