Fresh off his acclaimed sports-drama turn in “Bison,” Dhruv Vikram is switching gears entirely. His next project, previously known only as DV4, finally has a name, a first look, and a promise from its makers: this one’s built purely for mass entertainment.
DV4 : The First Look Says It All
The newly unveiled poster shows Dhruv Vikram mid-swing in full brawler mode, setting the tone for what the team is billing as an unapologetic, larger-than-life commercial entertainer. Announcing the title on social media, the makers described “Jackie” as a film with no room for hesitation — a straight-up, high-energy entertainer through and through.
Who’s Behind the Camera
“Jackie” brings together a solid technical team, led by director Karan Arvind Kumar, previously known for co-writing the Suriya-starrer fantasy actioner “Kanguva.”
| Department | Talent |
|---|---|
| Director | Karan Arvind Kumar |
| Music | Santhosh Narayanan |
| Cinematography | Viki |
| Editing | Jayasuriya |
| Production | Mythri Movie Makers |
Adding to the buzz, reports suggest the makers have already locked in a lucrative, double-digit OTT deal for the film, though this hasn’t been officially confirmed by the production house.
A Notable Year for Dhruv Vikram
This announcement comes at an eventful time for the actor. He was recently in the headlines after actress Anupama Parameswaran’s comments about a past relationship went viral, with many speculating — without confirmation from either side — that she may have been referencing him.
On the professional front, Dhruv Vikram most recently starred in Mari Selvaraj’s “Bison,” playing a young man chasing a dream of representing India in kabaddi despite facing deep-rooted prejudice. The film, also featuring Pasupathy, Ameer, Lal, Anupama Parameswaran, and Rajisha Vijayan, is currently streaming on Netflix.
With “Jackie” now official, fans will be watching closely to see how Dhruv Vikram balances his recent dramatic work with this upcoming full-throttle entertainer.
