Some rules exist just to be tested — and that’s exactly the premise of No Crushing Allowed, Netflix’s newest K-drama rom-com. On August 20, the streamer confirmed both the series and its lead cast: Moon Sang Min, Shin Sia, Lee Min Jae, and Choi Hee Jin.
Set between two prestigious high schools separated by a single wall, the show promises the kind of forbidden, heart-fluttering romance K-drama fans can’t resist.

What’s the Story About?
The series is set at Jinwol High School for Boys and Jinwol High School for Girls — two elite institutions with a long-standing rivalry, separated only by a wall. Students face expulsion if caught dating, and an old urban legend warns that “anyone who crosses the wall will pay the price.” Naturally, that doesn’t stop a group of 19-year-olds from experiencing first love anyway, caught between temptation, competition, and consequences that feel just out of reach.

Director Lee Soo Hyun, known for Filing for Love and My Dearest Nemesis, helms the project, while the script comes from Lee Na Eun, the writer behind beloved dramas like Our Beloved Summer.
Meet the Cast
Moon Sang Min plays Lee Chi Won, the model student and student council president of the boys’ school — a role fans are excited to see after his turns in Cinderella at 2AM and To My Beloved Thief. Shin Sia, known for Resident Playbook, takes on So Ran, the equally accomplished student council president of the girls’ school. Having grown up together, Chi Won and So Ran share a rivalry-turned-romance dynamic that blurs the line between competitiveness and attraction.
Lee Min Jae plays Gong Soo Ho, whose love-hate rivalry with Chi Won complicates things further when he approaches So Ran for his own reasons. Choi Hee Jin, recognized for Heavenly Ever After and IDOL I, rounds out the main cast as Kim Lizzy, a transfer student and So Ran’s roommate.
The series adds to Netflix’s growing slate of K-drama originals, a genre that has seen explosive global growth on the platform in recent years.
