Nioh 3 PC System Requirements: Can Your Rig Handle It?

Team Ninja just revealed the official PC system requirements for Nioh 3, launching February 6, 2026. The dark samurai action RPG demands modest hardware for 1080p gaming but requires upscaling even with recommended specs. Here’s everything you need to know.

Nioh 3 System Requirements

What You Need to Know

Upscaling Required: Even recommended specs need upscaling to hit 1080p/60fps, suggesting demanding optimization. Previous Team Ninja titles like Wo Long Fallen Dynasty and Rise of the Ronin required significantly better hardware than suggested at launch due to performance issues.

Frame Generation Support: The Steam page confirms frame generation capability without additional details. This technology could help lower-end GPUs achieve smoother framerates, particularly beneficial for GTX 1060 users.

Storage Requirements: The 125GB installation demands SSD storage—HDDs won’t cut it. Team Ninja recommends NVMe SSDs for optimal loading times and streaming performance, suggesting potential open-world asset loading challenges.

Verified Graphics Cards: Koei Tecmo tested numerous GPUs including GTX 1060, RTX 30/40/50 series, and Radeon RX 5600 XT through RX 9060 XT. Multi-channel RAM configuration is strongly recommended for best performance.

Historical Context: Previous Nioh games ran well on PC, but Team Ninja’s recent releases struggled with optimization. Gamers should approach these requirements cautiously and wait for post-launch performance reviews.
