If you’re in the US and subscribe to MGM+ (available as a Prime Video add-on at $7.99/month or via cable), you can watch from May 25, 2026. The entire eight-episode season drops at once.

For everyone else — and for Prime Video subscribers in the US who don’t have MGM+ — the full season arrives on Prime Video on May 27, 2026. It is a complete season drop, no weekly waiting.

The two-day gap is the main catch. MGM+ is a Sony-Amazon co-production partner, so getting first access requires that extra subscription. If you’d rather wait two days and keep things simple, Prime Video on May 27 is your date.

What Is Spider-Noir About?

Spider-Noir is a live-action series based on the Marvel Comics title Spider-Man Noir, first published in 2009. Critically, this is not a spin-off from the animated Spider-Verse films — it’s a separate, alternate-universe take on the character, as confirmed by the showrunner.

The story follows Ben Reilly (Cage), a battle-worn private investigator living in 1930s New York. After a deeply personal tragedy, he walked away from his former life as the city’s only spider-powered vigilante — known simply as The Spider. The series picks up when a deadly new case forces him back into the mask.

Cage has described his performance as a mix of Humphrey Bogart’s world-weariness and the cartoon energy of Bugs Bunny. That combination — pulpy, dark, absurdist, and character-driven — is exactly what the show appears to be delivering.

This is the show’s most unique technical feature. Every episode of Spider-Noir exists in two versions:

Authentic Black & White — Shot using black-and-white cameras and period-accurate filtration to genuinely replicate the look and feel of 1930s noir cinema. This is the “artistically intended” version.

True-Hue Full Color — The same footage rendered in full colour, which Cage himself says works especially well for younger viewers and brings more of a comic-book panel energy to the visuals.
