Newcastle United targeting Andrey Santos with price tag of over €30m

Newcastle United are monitoring Andrey Santos of Brazilian side Vasco da Gama for a potential transfer. The midfielder is highly rated by the Premier League side, having scored seven goals in 33 appearances for his current team.

Despite playing in the second tier of Brazil, the English side have managed to get the youngster on their radar. He has been linked with a move to Barcelona as well, since making his debut last season. But, the Spanish side have not moved to sign him as of now.

The 18-year-old has been monitored by Newcastle United for a long time. And, they also have a good relationship with his agents, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian also adds that the price tag for Andrey Santos will be very high since he is important to Vasco da Gama. A sum of over €30 million would be needed for the team to even consider selling their star player.

So far, nothing concrete has been agreed upon between the two clubs. However, Newcastle are continuing to scout and monitor his current situation in hopes of getting ahead of other European sides.

The Magpies are planning for the future, having secured Australian striker Garang Kuol already. And now, they are turning their attention to Brazilian talents like Santos.
