The Cast Reflects on a Season That Meant a Lot

Lead actor Kim Min Ho spoke about the bittersweet feeling that comes with every season’s end, acknowledging how much the show’s continued success owes to viewer support. He also confirmed what fans have been hoping to hear — that the New Recruit franchise isn’t done yet, with more installments on the way.

Kim Dong Jun echoed similar gratitude, calling this season another meaningful chapter in the show’s run and confirming that Season 5 is already on the horizon.

New and Returning Faces Share Their Own Farewells

Oh Dae Hwan, who plays Jo Baek Ho, described how much thought and emotional investment went into shaping his character over the course of the season, noting it’s a role he’ll carry with him for a long time. Lee Hyun Kyun, a newcomer to the cast this season, admitted feeling pressure stepping into an established show, but credited his co-stars for helping him find his footing successfully.

Lee Won Jung opened up about the challenge of portraying his character’s mysterious backstory, crediting the show’s director and more experienced cast members for guiding that performance. Nam Tae Woo closed out the round of farewells with heartfelt thanks to fans for their continued support of the ensemble.

A Franchise That Keeps Building Momentum

Now heading into its fourth season, New Recruit has clearly built a loyal following strong enough to justify a fifth installment — a rare feat for long-running Korean drama franchises, which often struggle to sustain audience interest across multiple seasons. The final two episodes are expected to wrap up the current storyline while setting the stage for what’s next.
