Netflix’s “The Lords’ Day” Adds Bridgerton, Game Of Thrones, And Harry Potter Stars To Damson Idris’s Spy Thriller

A political siege thriller just got a serious talent upgrade. Netflix has unveiled the ensemble cast joining Damson Idris in “The Lords’ Day,” and the roster reads like a who’s-who of British television royalty.

The Lords’ Day: The New Cast Members

Produced by Bad Wolf, the six-part series is building out a powerhouse roster of British and international talent to back up Idris, with cameras already rolling in the UK after a Spring 2026 production start.

What “The Lords’ Day” Is About

Adapted from Michael Dobbs’ political thriller novel, Damson Idris plays British spy Harry Jones, a man who finds himself trapped inside the Houses of Parliament during the State Opening ceremony as a hostage siege escalates. As the crisis unfolds live on television, loyalties are tested and difficult sacrifices are made in a desperate fight for survival where not everyone makes it out alive.

Behind The Scenes

The source novel comes from Michael Dobbs, the author also known for creating “House of Cards,” giving the series a strong political-thriller pedigree to build on.

This kind of high-stakes Westminster political drama continues to draw on Britain’s long tradition of political thriller storytelling, blending real institutional settings with high-tension fiction.
