From the director of The World of the Married comes Netflix’s most anticipated K-drama — and the four-person cast is absolutely stacked.
If you thought 2026 couldn’t get any more exciting for K-drama fans, buckle up. Netflix has officially confirmed production of its new series The Facade of Love, unveiling a star-studded cast featuring Lee Dong Wook, Jeon So Nee, Jung Yu Mi, and Lee Jong Won. This is the kind of announcement that stops your scroll cold — and for good reason.
What Is The Facade of Love About?
The Facade of Love tells the story of how the lives of four individuals are completely shaken after a man and a woman far from home spend an unforgettable night together in an unfamiliar place. The core narrative focuses on the process of cracks forming in their relationships as Ji Hun and Hu Kyung, who met by chance, find themselves unable to stop being drawn to each other even after returning to Korea.
In short — desire, consequences, and messy emotions. Exactly what great drama is made of.

The Director Behind It All
This isn’t just any Netflix drama. The Facade of Love is a new project by director Mo Wan Il, who previously helmed The World of the Married — one of the highest-rated Korean dramas in cable TV history. That pedigree alone tells you this story won’t shy away from the raw, uncomfortable edges of love and betrayal.
For context on why Korean dramas have taken the world by storm, Netflix’s global push into Korean content is well worth a read.
What to Expect From Each Character?
Lee Dong Wook promises a deep, nuanced performance as Ji Hun, a man experiencing a rift between reason and emotion. Jeon So Nee’s Hu Kyung is described as a character with mysterious charm who anchors the centre of the story. Jung Yu Mi is expected to delicately express the emotions of a wife facing a shocking truth, while Lee Jong Won’s Dae Hee adds tension as he becomes entangled with Hu Kyung.
Four layered characters, one explosive situation — this drama is practically writing itself.
