Netflix November 2026: 30+ Reasons Your Weekends Are Already Booked

November is the month when the sofa wins. The nights get longer, the holiday mood kicks in, and Netflix arrives with a lineup that mixes prestige drama, spy thrillers, cozy Christmas films and live football. According to What’s on Netflix’s early list, the biggest names are The Altruists, Heartland, Black Doves Season 2 and the final season of The Empress. Here’s a compact guide so you can plan your watchlist without scrolling through 30 titles.

November 2026 Highlights

The Must-Watch Trio

The Altruists (Nov 19) is the one everyone will be talking about. Julia Garner and Anthony Boyle play Caroline Ellison and Sam Bankman-Fried in this limited series about the rise and spectacular fraud-driven collapse of the FTX crypto exchange. If you enjoy true-story dramas where money, ego and bad decisions collide, this is your pick.

Heartland (Nov 13) casts Jessica Chastain as a former country music megastar who comes out of years of seclusion to search for her missing niece. The story pulls her into Nashville’s darker side, with Garrett Hedlund and Ross Lynch also in the cast. It looks like a moody, slow-tension thriller for a rainy weekend.

Black Doves Season 2 (Nov 5) brings back Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw. Helen’s husband is close to becoming Prime Minister, which makes her secret life as a covert operative riskier than ever, especially with a threat coming from inside her own circle.

Returning Favorites and a Royal Goodbye

Several fan favorites come back this month. St. Denis Medical returns for Season 2 on Nov 3, bringing its overworked-nurse mockumentary humor, and North of North Season 2 follows on Nov 5 with more Arctic comedy. The Hunting Wives returns on Thanksgiving Day with fresh rivalries and old secrets in Maple Brook.

The emotional one is The Empress Season 3 (Nov 12). It’s the final season, so if you’ve followed the German period drama this far, make time for a proper send-off.

Holiday Mood, Netflix Style

Netflix is also leaning into the festive season. A Dog’s Perfect Christmas (Nov 4) stars Dennis Quaid and Mary Steenburgen, with a senior basset hound and a corgi puppy trying to hold a struggling family together. Guarding Stars (Nov 18) follows a no-nonsense bodyguard (Leighton Meester) who poses as an action star’s girlfriend on a holiday ranch trip. On Nov 1, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and the Mistletoe Murders seasons arrive for cozy viewing.

Global Picks Worth Your Time

Don’t skip the international titles, which are often the surprise hits. Highlights include the Colombian drama Under Siege (Nov 6), the Spanish crime series Murder in Galicia (Nov 13), Netflix’s first Nordic medical drama Always on Call (Nov 26) and the Japanese romance One Year to Live, Buy a Man (Nov 5). If you enjoy anime, Fool Night (Nov 26) is a dystopian story where humans can choose to become plants so the world can breathe.

Live Sports Joins the Party

On Nov 25, Netflix streams the Green Bay Packers vs. Los Angeles Rams live. If you’ve been waiting for streaming to become your sports home too, this is a big signal of where things are heading.
