NDTV Updates

At Kundeshwar Dham, a wall is being constructed to keep people from taking river baths. This will stop the daily deaths that take place in the Kund. The district of Tikamgarh in Madhya Pradesh witnessed the impact of NDTV’s news once more. A few days ago, there was word of deaths in this Madhya Pradeshi holy city brought on by the district administration’s carelessness. This had a significant effect, and the district and temple management both became aware of it after hearing the story.

The Jamdar River Kund, which flows behind Kundeshwar Mandir, was blocked off from the side of the temple where bathing was once permitted. For this reason, railing has been put in place to prevent adults and kids from entering the Kund directly. For the entire issue, the district administration also expressed gratitude to NDTV.

NDTV Updates: Particular preparations were made

The remaining large ponds and their ghats have been sealed up, however the little pond next to the Kundeshwar temple is now accessible through a newly constructed ghat. Additionally, three notice boards that make it obvious that swimming in the pond is forbidden have been placed close to the river and the pond. All these notice boards have been put up on the directions and orders of Tikamgarh SDM Sanjay Dwivedi.

Numerous kids have passed away

Numerous individuals, including children, have perished in this pond as a result of the administration’s neglect thus far. Those from outside who are not proficient swimmers enter the water upon witnessing the locals swimming and taking baths. As a result, they drown in deep water and perish. Based on data collected during the past year, 15 to 20 persons have passed away.

The collector thanked NDTV for their assistance

In the course of covering the case, NDTV recommended to the district administration that pillars be inserted into the pond beneath the causeway, where there is a strong water flow, and that a net be installed so that individuals can cling to the net in the event of drowning. The river now has a lot of water in it, according to Tikamgarh SDM. As a result, it is not possible to install a net in the pond or a railing on the causeway. As soon as the water level falls, both these things will be done soon.
