My Life with the Walter Boys Season 4 Is Official — Netflix Confirms the Colorado Drama Isn’t Done Yet

Good news for everyone who has been holding their breath since the Season 3 cliffhanger: My Life with the Walter Boys is officially returning for a fourth season on Netflix. The renewal was confirmed during the 2026 Netflix Upfronts presentation in New York City on May 13, alongside a wave of other major announcements including renewals for Running Point and Big Mistakes.

For a show built on the foundations of grief, found family, and one of the most passionately debated love triangles in recent young adult fiction, this is exactly the kind of news fans have been hoping for.

My Life with the Walter Boys: From Wattpad Novel to Netflix Powerhouse

If you haven’t followed the show’s journey from the beginning, here’s the quick version: My Life with the Walter Boys is based on the wildly popular Wattpad novel by Ali Novak, following Jackie, a New York girl who moves to Colorado after a family tragedy and finds herself navigating a chaotic, loving, overwhelming household full of Walter boys — and, inevitably, complicated feelings for two of them.

Since its debut, the series has been a consistent performer in Netflix’s Young Adult lineup, landing in the global Top 10 with each new season release. Season 3, which wrapped filming late last year, is already due out sometime in 2026. Season 4’s renewal before Season 3 has even aired marks the second time the show has been renewed pre-emptively — a sign that Netflix’s internal viewership data gives them more than enough confidence to keep investing in Silver Falls.

What Do We Know About Season 4?

Honestly? Not a great deal yet — and that’s completely expected at this stage. The Upfronts is primarily an advertiser-facing event, so Netflix kept creative specifics close to the chest. There’s no confirmed production start date, no episode count, and no release window to anchor to right now.

What we do know is that creator Melanie Halsall has a sprawling ensemble to work with — siblings growing up, parents navigating their own storylines, and a high school world that keeps evolving. With each season, the Walters’ world has expanded rather than contracted, and Season 4 has all the runway it needs to keep doing the same.

Why This Renewal Matters

Netflix has become increasingly selective about which YA dramas it commits to beyond a second or third season. The fact that My Life with the Walter Boys is heading into Season 4 — with Season 3 not yet out — says everything about how the streamer values it within its broader young adult strategy. It joins a small club of Netflix teen dramas that have built genuinely loyal, long-term audiences rather than spiking on debut and fading.

The Colorado journey continues — and if the fan debates on social media are anything to go by, the Walter Boys universe still has plenty of story left to tell.
