If you remember, a couple of years ago, Motorola was one of the pioneers in the budget smartphone range. The Moto G-Series was a massive hit amongst all due to the specs and all-around well-balanced devices that it featured.
Today, Motorola has launched the Moto G22 in India, the device that was originally unveiled last month. It comes in a Cosmic Black and Iceberg Blue variant and a single 4GB RAM+64GB configuration.

The Moto G22 is a dual-SIM device that runs on stock Android 12 by default. The device has a 6.5″ MaxVision display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display has a 90Hz refresh rate.
The smartphone is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G37 chip paired with an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU and 4GB RAM. In the optics department, we get to see a quad-camera setup with a 50MP primary lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. The rear camera is capable of recording Full HD videos at 30fps.
On the front, the Moto G22 features a 16MP selfie shooter. The device has a microSD card slot via which you expand the memory up to 1TB.
In terms of connectivity options, the G22 has 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, FM Radio, GPS/A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. In terms of sensors, it has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. For security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Moto G22 has a 5,000mAh battery with 20W TurboPower charging support. It retails for 10,999 INR and will be available via Flipkart.com from the 13th of April. There will be a Mint Green variant that will be introduced at a later stage.
