Motorola held a launch event in China today where it unveiled its latest flagship Edge Series devices, the Moto Edge X30 and the Moto Edge S30. While we know that the Motorola Moto Edge X30 was the first phone to debut the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, the Moto Edge S30 also is no device to be overlooked.
Let us take a detailed look at the specs of the Moto Edge S30:
The Moto Edge S30 features a 6.8″ FHD+ LCD panel with an aspect ratio of 20.5:9. The screen has an amazing refresh rate of 144Hz, similar to that of the Edge X30. It also comes with a 576Hz touch sampling rate that promises to deliver a seamless gaming experience. The display has a hole-punch cutout.
Coming to the camera specs of the Moto Edge S30, it has a triple camera setup on the rear comprising a 108MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP secondary sensor. The device has a 16MP selfie shooter integrated within the punch-hole cutout.
Apart from this, the Moto Edge S30 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ chipset that is paired with 6GB/8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM configurations and 128 GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage configurations.
The Moto Edge S30 flaunts a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W TurboPower charging. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IP52 rating, a USB Type-C port, 5G support, Wi-Fi (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.2 support, GPS, and NFC support as well.
The smartphone runs on Android 11 OS with MyUI 3.0 on top.
The Moto Edge S30 begins at CNY 1,999 or 23,700 INR for the 6GB+128GB variant, the 8GB+128GB retails for CNY 1,999 or 26,050 INR, the 8GB+256GB variant retails for CNY 2,399 or 28,450 INR. The top-end Edge S30 model arrives with 12GB RAM+256GB storage and costs CNY 2,399 or 30,850 INR.
The Moto Edge S30 is not likely to debut outside China as it has the same specs as the Moto G200 that was unveiled last month.
