Motorola is currently developing an affordable smartphone called the Moto G04, and recent leaks have provided insights into its design features, color options, and camera setup. The leaked renders, disclosed by MySmartPrice, showcase the device in four colors: blue, orange, black, and green, with the possibility of the company assigning distinct names to these shades.
The Rumors About Moto G04
In terms of design, the Moto G04 presents a flat and squared-off aesthetic, featuring a centrally-located punch hole cutout on the front for the camera. Notable bezels are visible, particularly on the bottom side of the display. The rear of the phone reveals a dual-camera setup, with the primary sensor identified as a 16MP shooter with AI support. The camera module slightly protrudes from the body. The overall design includes squared-off edges, with all buttons, including the power and volume rockers, situated on the right side, and the SIM Card tray on the left side.
The bottom side incorporates a USB-C port, a speaker vent, and a microphone opening, while the top side houses a 3.5mm headphone jack along with Dolby Atmos branding. The design of the Moto G04 is consistent with that of the Moto G24 and Moto G24 Power, both of which have recently had renders leaked. The Moto G24, available in two colors, features a dual-camera setup led by a 50MP sensor, and the camera plateau exhibits a similar protrusion. Its front includes a hole-punch cutout and a noticeable chin.
It appears that Motorola is adopting a flat-edge design across its device lineup, with observable variations in design aspects between lower-end and premium models. A prior leak from a Geekbench listing hinted at the Moto G04 running Android 14, being powered by a MediaTek Helio G80/85 SoC, and featuring 8GB of RAM in one of its variants. However, detailed information about the Moto G04 is yet to be confirmed.
