The Moto G Stylus (2024) successor, the Moto G Stylus (2025) appears to be coming soon as Motorola continues the G Stylus lineup. The official release date of this device is still undercover, but the smartphone has already been listed at many certification sites such as FCC, IMEI, and UL Solutions (Demko), which shed light on some major specifications.

Earlier this month, a Motorola smartphone codenamed ‘Houston’ with the same model number was certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), indicating that an official launch is around the corner.

The listing is said to be for the Moto G Stylus (2025), as it mentions multiple model numbers: XT2517-1, XT2517-2, XT2517-3, and XT2517V, which indicate that the device might be announced in various global markets. The XT25 prefix indicates a 2025 release. The dimensions of the device are listed as 146.2mm x 71.8mm x 7.5mm, which makes it thinner than its predecessor, which has a thickness of 8.3mm. The FCC listing also details the support for advanced connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 6E, 5G NR bands, LTE, GSM, and WCDMA.

The IMEI listing only names the codename ‘Houston’ with no additional detail available. Well, the UL Solutions (Demko) document with the same entry gives us more details, as it shows the Moto G Stylus (2025) will come with a 4,850mAh rated battery that’s sure to be sold as 5,000mAh. It also sets the stage for such things to come integrated, such as a USB cable and stylus that will also be compatible, a clear sign to us that this will definitely be the Moto G Stylus (2025).

It was also seen on BIS with model number XT2517-4. Whether or not Motorola will introduce the G Stylus series in India is still unknown as Motorola has not yet launched any of the previous models in India. Launched in May last year, the Moto G Stylus (2024) had a launch price of ₹34,534 (~$399). Now, series fans are awaiting more news ahead of the launch.
